From 1999, the MPRB has expanded its scope of activities on a national and regional / international level. Thus from 1999 the MPRB has housed the National Secretariat of the Southern Africa Human Rights NGO Network ( SAHRINGON ), a network of organizations campaigning for human rights in the region of Southern Africa.
The MPRB has since coordinated all activities of the network in the region of the Indian Ocean, including the Seychelles, Madagascar and the Comoros.
